I saw 11 needletails around 5pm yesterday, quite low, in my area of Giralang. Judging from
Anthony’s posting they were around for some time.

Two
needletails in Giralang at about 6.45pm, and also saw about eight needletails
over Southern Cross Dve and in Scullin just on sunset last night. Most were
lower than tree height. One bird was shooting through the middle of some large
eucalypt street trees.

There was a group of
around 12 to 15 over Ginninderra Creek yesterday behind the BMX track and they
seemed to be working their way down stream as I rode my pushie. When I
got home to Latham I stayed out side for a while as I heard some yellow-tailed
blacks calling. While there I counted 5 White-throated Needle Tails
flying over my place. A new bird for my garden survey!
