At lunchtime today at Lake Tuggeranong all the usuals were out
and about. Interesting to see roosting in the willow trees near the Town Beach
area were a White-faced Heron, a Great Egret and 8 Little Corellas.
There was also a group of what appeared to be 2 adult
and 4 near-adult domestic ducks. I don't know if anyone else has seen them
there before, but we have never noticed them on past visits to the lake. They
may be fly-ins or possibly someone has released them there. They were not
associating with or near any of the "wild" ducks - although there were only a
few Black Ducks about at the time. And they certainly weren't at all bothered by
the near proximity of people.
