Hi all,
Just back from a marathon two week trip to Brisbane and everywhere in between. Highlights were:
--a male Superb Lyrebird displaying at the Barrington Tops;
--lots of Black-faced Monarchs and Ground Thrushes at the same place;
-- a pair of Glossy Black-Cockatoos that flew over;
--at Yuraygir NP Grey-tailed Tattlers and a Tattler that puzzled me-it was like a Grey-tailed but it had the (base) half of its bill yellow on both mandibles and the bill was slightly upcurved;
--a pair of Pale Yellow Robins at Mt Glorius, Brisbane;
--Striated Heron, Mangrove Gerygone, Mangrove Honeyeater and waders at Tinchi Tamba, Brisbane; --Forest Kingfisher, Scarlet Honeyeater, Little shrike-Thrush,Spectacled Monarch, and Spangled Drongo at Noosa; --Topknot Pigeon, Large-billed Scrudwren, lots of Logrunners, Brown Gerygones, Brown Cuckoo-Dove, White-headed Pigeon, Wonga Pigeon and Regent Bowerbirds at Lamington NP; --Lesser Sand Plover, Sanderlings, a flock of Common Terns, a Little Egret, a pair of Little Terns and great views of a female Osprey (photo attached) at Sandon River, Yuraygir NP; --two juvenile? Little Bronze-Cuckoos at the same place (their head and upper breast was covered in a dark murkish brown, and the barring was incomplete);

--plus a bird i saw in both Barrington and Lamington: it looked like an Olive Whistler, only it was much paler, and had a distinct yellow on undertail coverts. Golden Whistler? If so, I haven't seen one like it.

Also, Red-necked Wallaby, Red-necked Pademelon, Yelow-faced Whipsnake, Red-bellied Black Snake, Northern Brown Bandicoot, and a possible Common Planigale and Southern Myotis.

A big bonus was McNaught's Comet (photo attached)
