Have the Koels changed their calls yet?  With females around once they
have mated the call changes to what I call the second phase call which
is same tonal value but slightly higher than the Oo oopp but rolls ooo
ooo ooo, if this makes sense.

For the last 45 minutes a Koel has been calling and being admired by
the local residents from the O'Connor end of Boldrewood Street.  It
seems that the Turner pair must be a separate occurrence from the
Maquarie and Weetangera birds.  My impression is that this is one of
the strongest influxes that I have witnessed, especially so because
of the presence of females.
