Here is the program for the members’ night meeting
next Wednesday 10 January at Girls Grammar.
7.00 – 8.00 pm – a special early start in the
computer lab for a demonstration of COG’s new electronic data input
program and an opportunity to give it a try and to ask questions of Paul
Fennell, COG’s database manager.
There will be short presentations from the following
members:
- John Cummings – Lady Elliott Island
- Frank Atkinson – Christmas Island birds
- Sandra Henderson – Fivebough Swamp and the bird fair
- “Steve” Stephinson –
Winter wanderings
- Suzanne Edgar – reading from
her recently published poems
- And then, “The
inaugural, national, pictorial, non-team bird miniquiz” devised and
conducted by Geoffrey Dabb. Geoff recommends as useful, but not essential,
that you bring with you a pencil and paper, and something that makes a
noise.
- And last but not least, a short
cult video by Geoffrey Dabb, “A typical day in Australia”.
It should be a most entertaining and informative evening. Be
sure to come along!
