The Macquarie Koel may have moved just down the road. There was one calling
at 7am in Weetangera, near the corner of Schumack St and Belconnen Way. I
also recorded it calling at the same location on Thursday 21 December and
have an early December record from slightly further west in Weetangera.
Have also heard one calling in Hawker In December.
Superbs this morning were roosting in small eucs on Nettlefold St just near
Cityscape in Belconnen town center and in the Benjamin Offices carpark.
Over the past month, have also recorded them at Hawker ovals, Hawker shops,
on Belconnen Way in Weetangera between Schumack St and Springvale Dr, and
numerous times in Belconnen town centre, either in Cameron Offices carpark,
Benjamin Offices carpark or over the car yards on Josephson St. I have
recorded them five of the six times I have walked to work since
mid-December.

I didn't hear the Macquarie bird this morning, but there was one calling
briefly last evening.
