Hi everyone

I was just drawn to the front door by an unfamiliar bird call, and saw at a range of about 3 metres, in the coastal Banksia near the front door, a lone small parrot or lorikeet, mostly green, with a red vent and red forehead.  I did not notice a particularly long tail.   It was not well lit and by the time I returned with my binoculars, it had scarpered.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Paul
