Happy New Year to all!!

Does anyone know what this bird is.  It came into care described as injured and not able to fly, found on Mt Painter.  There are no injuries but it is pretty thin.

It has all the characteristics of a cuckoo of some description and is quite aggressive.  However it's identity remains a mystery to me.  Any ideas?

Sorry about the quality of the photos.

thanks,
