Please respond direct to Rolf if you have suggestions. I've already
referred him to Gang Gang for trips information, and mentioned the
Jerrabomberra Wetlands and ANBG, but there are of course lots of other
good spots.

Dear Canberra birders,
I found your informative home page etc. on the Internet, and since I'm
planning a trip to Australia I found that very interesting. Most of the
Australian birds will be new to me, but before I come to Canberra I will
spend a few days in Perth (and go to a conference in Fremantle) and in
the Goorong National Park near Adelaide (a conference also in Adelaide).
I'll spend two full days in Canberra early in February, for birdwatching
and sightseeing. It seems to be a good idea to rent a bike and look for
birds around the lake and in the adjoining areas, and in the limited
time frame that is probably enough for me.
If you in COG have some organized field activity February 5-6, I would
very much appreciate if I could join you. I would also appreciate advice
concerning specific places to go in the Canberra region at that time of
the year. If I otherwise will miss very interesting things, I'll
consider renting a car for a day, but as you understand also everyday
Australian birds will be new and intresting for me.
Best regards,
Rolf
