That reminds me,
Driving along the hume hwy south from Canberra over the years I have noticed
small remnant stands of Allocausurinas on some of the hills near the highway
and often pondered.
Has anyone heard of Glossy's around Jugiong, Gundagai, Tarcutta etc (I can't
remember exactly where)? There must be more stands away from the highway
that surely would've supported reasonable popns of Glossy's before white man
- and may still do?
Also, being a passenger on the last trip back I noticed a hill covered with
Xanthorrhea's that I am amazed I have never noticed before - on the west side
of the hwy nth of Gundagai where the fixed speed camera is (at least I think
it is that speed camera - it's one of them anyway).
Cheers, Alex.

Subject: O'Connor: Glossy Black-Cockatoos
3 Glossy Black Cockatoos flew east over O'Connor this morning at
08:32. They were flying higher than I have ever seen this species
travel previously and it appeared as if they were leaving Black
Mountain and heading towards Mt Majura. Another addition to the
laundry list :)
