At 1645 today I saw four Superb Parrots on Holt Oval feeding beneath the elm trees. First time I've seen them feeding under the trees, usually they're at least ten metres away out on the field. Perhaps, assuming they're eating the elm seed, it's becoming scarce further away from the trees. There's still lots beneath the trees and I wondered why they didn't hoe into it before. Maybe it was too close to the footpath and road for them at first.
