Subject: More bushlark pictures, and other highlights
from a day out birding
I went back out to Coppins Crossing Road this morning to try to get some
better pictures of the Singing Bushlarks - four pics attached, all of
the
same bird. I only saw two bushlarks today - they were not very active
and
were keeping quiet. One short snatch of Brown Songlark song.
On to Mulligan's Flat where the highlights were 40 White-browed
Woodswallows, 1 White-necked Heron. 2 Grey Butcherbirds but no sign of
a
Pied.
Then spent an hour at ANBG but no drongo to be seen.
Finally, Jerrabomberra Wetlands where the highlights were 41 Cattle
Egret in
the paddocks, 2 Royal Spoonbills, 1 Glossy Ibis, 1 Pied Stilt, 2 Snipe
in
front of the Cygnus hide, and 1 Baillon's Crake in crake alley. No sign
of
the Turquoise Parrot(s).
