At the south end of Kellys past Cygnus yesterday while I was watching and photographing an energetic display of Cisticola decoy and distraction, also heard a Masked Lapwing start up in the distance.  Then saw an initially uninterested fox walking by but being persistently taunted by the Lapwing finally started in chase, probably to shut it up more than anything else.  The fox continued down to the foreshore opposite Cygnus causing the departure of some birds, but not all.

Also seen:
1 Black-winged Stilt, very shy
2 Black-fronted Dotterels
2 Latham's Snipes
1 Glossy Ibis still around
1 Aus Shelduck
Female Golden and Rufous Whistlers (no males that I could see, and no singing)

The breeding plumage and "look-my-way" behaviour of the Cisticola were attractive and interesting...
