Hi Everyone
Speaking of cow pats, during a cycling
excursion around Kaleen, there are a number of cattle and bulk cowpats just off
the Barton Highway. There was a lone Sulphur Crested Cockatoo tearing medium
dry cowpats apart and partaking of some of the contents. Haven’t seen
that before.
Cheers

& cow pats - more particularly the latter
Does this mean that cow pats are becoming an accumulating problem
again? If so, is the drought weather curtailing the good work of dung
beetles? I particularly ask because I was involved (in a very minor support
role) with CSIRO's introduction of exotic dung beetles during the late
1960's/early '70s. And I've always thought it was one of the biological-control
success stories of the 20th Century.
Or is this just an exchange of funny ferdinand?
