Hi Everyone

Speaking of cow pats, during a cycling excursion around Kaleen, there are a number of cattle and bulk cowpats just off the Barton Highway.  There was a lone Sulphur Crested Cockatoo tearing medium dry cowpats apart and partaking of some of the contents.  Haven’t seen that before.

Cheers

Does this mean that cow pats are becoming an accumulating problem again? If so, is the drought weather curtailing the good work of dung beetles? I particularly ask because I was involved (in a very minor support role) with CSIRO's introduction of exotic dung beetles during the late 1960's/early '70s. And I've always thought it was one of the biological-control success stories of the 20th Century.

Or is this just an exchange of funny ferdinand?
