Technical error in yesterday's post corrected here with the right
pics.
A juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle was chased from Point Hut Pond today
Sunday by Magpies and a mystery bird. The third chaser in the
second photo looks like a Masked Lapwing to me but interested in any
alternative views.
If you honked me while I was taking photos, I have to admit I didn't see
who it was but guess the Castle Hill excursioners?

PS
I believe I saw an adult WBSE flying down the valley of the Cotter R,
just above where it becomes the dam lake, last Wednesday. No binoculars
and the camera was in the car. Lots of white and very large. It
flew straight along above the river for about 200m, it too was being
chased by black and white birds. If it was a Sea Eagle it
definitely wasn't the same bird as shown here, much more white (and
black).
