We had lunch on the way up at Gum Swamp (Forbes) - 3 Glossy Ibis, 40 Whiskered Terns plus usual waterfowl. Spent all day Monday at Western Plains Zoo - many birds including Black Kite, Yellow-throated and Noisy Miner, Blue-faced and Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, Apostlebird, White-browed Babbler, Red-capped Robin, Peaceful Dove, Pied Butcherbird, etc and a Goanna. I spent Sunday and Monday afternoons in Goonoo SF to the north at Paddy's Dam (Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, Mallee Ringnecks) and at a dam on Mogriguy Forest Rd (Striped Honeyeater, Little Friarbirds, Mallee Ringnecks) among rusting car wrecks. Around Mogriguy saw plenty of Blue Bonnets, an Emu and Inland Thornbills and at Tabralgar 3 Black Kites. I wish I had more time to explore Goonoo as its an amazing place.

Cheers
Marnix
