Hi,
I saw two snakes doing something similar at the Fyshwick Sewage ponds on the
weekend. I also assumed they were mating. I have some video footage of this
which I'm happy to send to anyone interested.

Following a helpful reference from Paul Taylor (many thanks Paul!) I've
done a bit more reading and believe that what I saw was actually a ritual
pre-mating combat between equally sized males (Eastern Browns by the way).
