An early start this am for me to monitor the Mount Ainslie sap-tapping operations.  The action continues.  The tail feathers on this YFHE are in pretty good nick, which is not something you could say about the rosella.  The wear on the tail is quite severe, as the bark-gnawing rosellas brace themselves with the tail, woodpecker-style (well, not in this shot).
