Hi all

Can anyone help with this query  from a musician friend?
None of the common books are any help,
though Taylor and Day  suggest 4 caws for a Little Raven 6 to 8 for an Australian

By the way, a question raised by my walk this morning: when a crow* caws, how many separate sounds does it utter, typically?
What is the frequency distribution, and what meaning should be attached, if any,
to a "short" caw (4 or fewer separate sounds) as distinct from a "long" one (7 or more)?

*  By "crow" I mean the large black (only) bird that looks like a crow and inhabits the woodland around Westbourne Woods.
