Terry, I would be excited if I had a butcher bird nesting nearby; although
I do not care for their feeding habits. I hope that you find the nest.
Years ago, at Tathra, we saw a butcher bird take a rose robin and deposit
it in fork in a tree.  We were horrified.

I thinkt that it was the same year that we saw drunk rainbow lorikeets.

Many very vocal striated pardalottes at Newline on Saturday, one displaying
beside a nesting hole; and 2 pairs of jacky winters
