At 9:00am today I was washing the ute when I was blessed with the company of a Rufous Fantail as it executed an exquisite aerial ballet not three metres away. I watched for a good 60 seconds until its pirouettes were promptly POQ'd by a bourgeois Blackbird. Common Blackbird is an extremely appropriate appellation for this red-necked, exotic interloper.
