Alastair, Martyn, Sue and myself checked out Corin Road on Saturday.
We were hoping for some of the pre fire winter specialities such as
Olive Whistler and Brush Bronzewing. Sadly we had no luck in that
regard but had a pleasant morning and did record 4 Emu, at least 3
Red-browed Treecreeper in a mixed flock with White-throated
Treecreeper and what was probably a Pilotbird. The forest is
regenerating but perhaps it will be several more years before the
former specialities return in their erstwhile numbers.
