About the number of green birds I would
have thought, but I don’t know how Marnix counts them; a certain
amount of hide and seek goes on. This was 2 of them

I popped down at lunch today to take a look. Living on the northside I was
surprised at the large number of Satin Bowerbirds around the 'English Garden'
area.
I counted 15 green birds and at least 4 adult males, a conservative estimate,
around the lawns and gardens.
The bower was at first attended by an adult male, then later an immature
(green) male arrived and shuffled a few items around and adjusted the bower
walls. In the tree above a dozen King-Parrots were foraging. Some 50 metres
away under a branching cedar 2 adult males were locked in an interesting dance,
while another male looked on from above. Nearby a green male attempted an
interesting dance as well.
All in all a beautiful sight. Thanks Sue for the tip off.
Cheers
Marnix
