There have been quite a few attempts, Tom, so I’d better close it off.  Like all good quizzes there has to be a bit of controversy, and this came to light when Steve Holliday pointed out that his printing-out of the card revealed a bit of dark/light shading in some figures, so apparently  I have failed to put on enough layers of black.  That would have been a matter of a couple of button clicks, so if there’s ever another one this will be attended to.  I’ve deliberately put back a little shading on some figures in this version: -

The answers are:

         Peaceful Dove (uncommon r/v)

         Dusky Woodswallow

         Olive-backed Oriole

         Eastern Spinebill

         Blue-faced Honeyeater (very uncommon visitor)

         Willie Wagtail

         A Magpie

         L Kookaburra

         Eastern Rosella

     Red-rumped Parrot

     N Friarbird (fledglings)

     Darter

     Gang-gang

     P Currawong

     Crested Pigeon

A Latham’s Snipe

     Rainbow Bee-eater

     Little Friarbird (uncommon r/v)

     Grey Teal

A B-fronted Dotterel

     Red Wattlebird

     Spotted Turtledove (uncommon introduction)

     Great Cormorant

     Brown Falcon

     Superb Parrot

     Silver Gull

     Y-t Black-Cockatoo

With the admitted ‘shading’ assistance, Steve got 21  -  as did David Cook.  However the best effort was by Mat Gilfedder, who came in with an extraordinary 24, whether with any image-manipulation or not I cannot say, but a fine performance in any event.  The most troublesome image was the Wille Wagtail No 6, the subject of a variety of stabs.  Only Philip Veerman got this.

I think the card needs more work Geoffrey.
