It is with some trepidation that I ….    Actually this arises from my preliminary work for my 2006 Christmas card.  All these birds have been recorded around Canberra.  The figures are taken from photographs, but are not necessarily to the same scale.  One is a VERY rare visitor.  Another is an UNCOMMON introduction.  Two more are uncommon residents or visitors.  No 11 represents 2 fledglings.  Ratings:  12 Good;  17 Excellent;  21  Wild card entry to 2006 Wimbledon All-England Lawn Tennis Championships;  22  Automatic entry to 2010 Soccer World Cup;  nobody is expected to get 23+ (out of 27).   Hint:  there are no ravens, domestic pigeons, blackbirds or thornbills.  There is only one bird that has ‘yellow’ in its common name.  Care, it will be noticed by the more observant, has been taken to include only birds that are not flying.
