At Hawker ovals between 3:30 and 4:30 today (Monday
12th).
Pair of Superb parrots (male and female-adult), feeding on lerps
and buds in young yellow box. Then
flew to ground/oval to feed on seeding grasses and mud. Watched for 20 minutes-
Opposite scout hall on main
ovals.
Also 1 rainbow lorikeet.
1 Hobby
119 galahs
49 red rumps
1 straw necked ibis.
lots of
starlings
8 king parrots
20 silvereyes moving west, probably many more, could hear a lot more in
bushes.
Lots of
other birds.
Last week counted 74 eastern rosellas feeding at enclosed softball
fields and strangely 2 grey currawongs.
