It seems odd to me that they are not widespread in
Canberra. It isn't the urban environment that is the problem, as they are
widespread in Melbourne and many other cities & towns). In our area they
appear to favour the woodlands and as mentioned by John, the lake shores. (All
aspects I did not mention in the GBS Reports, mainly due to not being able to
suggest why.) It could be that in areas where they are common most other
honeyeaters aren't.
