The Rose Robin I saw a couple of days back (that James photographed and
sent to the list) had a bit of colour on the breast. Pizzey says female
Rose Robins have 'grey breast, some washed rose', while immature birds
are 'like female; without pink breast'.

I was wondering whether immature Rose Robin males get a decent rose
wash, just as immature male Red-capped Robins can get a red wash on the
breast.

Does anyone have HANZAB handy?

Anthony

it was still around at 2.00 pm. In late morning it was briefly
consorting
with what I took to be a juvenile male Rose Robin - good chest colour
and
white bars on the tail edges.
