Given the apparent current influx, or maybe just recognising the possibility of the presence of Brown Gerygones, it's perhaps not surprising that they should turn up in places other than the gardens and Westbourne Woods. A large mixed feeding flock passed through our Cook garden this afternoon and alerted by the quiet little 'dit-diddlt-dit' I managed to find one Brown Gerygone among the Silvereyes, Spotted Pardalotes, Weebills, 4 species of Thornbills (no Yellows), Fairy-wrens, Scrubwrens, Yellow-faced and White-eared Honeyeaters, Golden Whistler and W-t Treecreeper.
