There is also a largish group near my place (within
my GBS area, about 25 of them), I'm pretty sure this is the most in the over 20
years I've been here. Maybe a few anecdotal obs means something, or maybe we
need to wait till more results come in. They had been in decline over many
years. Maybe the greater decline in the Starling has allowed them to increase,
then again there is the complexity of the increase in the Myna. Their pleasant
calls and nice appearance adds brightness so an increase would be
nice.
Oh dare I add that "in Phillip" refers to the area
named after Arthur Phillip with two "l"s (which over his life time would have
cost at least one more biro (if they existed then) than my
spelling.
