Carr (nee Fawcett) Alpine ecologist and one of the first (in 1940) to survey the
Bogong High Plains and demonstrate to the cattlemen that grazing wasn't such a
good idea - the debate is still continuing! Ian Fraser did a
super coverage of the book in his reviews. Any further interest and you can
