At Lake Ginninderra Peninsular this afternoon I flushed a pair of Brown Quail from a little bit of a scrubby hill just south of Rocky Knoll. Ye olde byrding diary has it that's the first Brown Quail I've seen at the lake since May 31 2005. Also in the same area a flock of a least 50 European Goldfinches
