I also found an adult Little Friarbird by the pond at Chat's Cafe in late morning. But no sign of the Blue-faced HE despite rigorous searching over a large area for 3 hours (from 9.30-12.30). I returned in the afternoon with Benj and spent another 1.5 hours (from 3.15-4.45) staking out the usual spots with no luck.
It seems the last time anyone saw the BFHE was at 9.25am today. Other birds seen included a green Satin Bowerbird.

Cheers

The Blue-faced Honeyeater was present again this morning at the ANU,
although only fleeting views were obtained in the vicinity of the
Arts School.  While searching I found a juvenile Little Friabird and
later in the morning an adult  Little Friabird to the south of the
Arts School.  Alastair Smith found the Blue-faced Honeyeater to the
east of the Arts School while we were looking at Friarbirds.  Steve
Holliday refound the Blue-faced Honeyeater in the Banksia
integrifolia at the east end of the Pauline Griffin Building on
Ellery Crescent.  This appears to be the best place for a good view
although the bird may not be present for extended periods of time (>
1 hour) and only stays for a few minutes.  On its third appearance it
was behaving as a Blue-faced Bee-eater!

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to us enjoying this
exceptional visitor to the ACT.
