There are cases of leucistic Willie Wagtails – I have a print photo somewhere of such a bird that my (ex) mother in law took in Bundaberg several years ago.

This message received today at cog office

Hi COG,

Two sundays back i spotted a wagtail at the Reid Oval near the War memorial. It acted just like a willie wagtail, flitting around catching insects,  but it was mostly white but with some black. i think it was a white wagtail [ checking my field guide].

is this unusual ?

My brother Neil suggested i let you know. He's an old COG member from the 1970's.

cheers
