A couple of months ago I saw an azure kingfisher foraging in downtown Bermagui.  There is a little creek extending from the harbour to the golf course, crossing under a bridge on the main road.  The bird sat on a dead mangrove branch only two or tree metres from the road, and flew down to take food both from the surface of the water and from an exposed patch of mud.
