Not nearly as dramatic as others' Golden Whistler encounters, but 'my' GW wintering female turned up yesterday, reliably as ever.

At Kelly's this morning (where there is still significant water, and no Azolla) 31 Bl-fronted Dots immediately in front of Cygnus, along with 2 Spotless Crakes feeding right out on the mud. Also an ever-questing Alastair Dooley... (not feeding on the mud, incidentally.)
