Wood Ducks breeding
A pair of Wood Ducks with 5 little fellas along Flemington Rd this past week near the
recycling centre. I thought it a bit late/early for them too.

Greetings. At University
House, ANU, on Friday: a
family of Wood Ducks: mum, dad and 8 grey fluffy
babes. Rather late (or is it rather early?) for
dependent young, according to the ACT Atlas. Sadly the
ABR entries on this species generally do not include
the dates of breeding records.
Cheers - David
