There has been a significant increase in the number of Diamond
Firetails in the Dunlop grasslands area over the last two
weeks. This morning there were two separate flocks of about 10 and
15 respectively active along the Jarramlee road and Bicentennial
Horse Trail while a presumed separate flock of similar size was close
to the old sewerage pumping station yesterday. In the past, small
numbers (2-4) have been seen close to Jarramlee gate but these flocks
are unusual.
