Before the kick off  tonight I saw a hobby fly into the NE light tower. In previous years I have seen hobbys hawking (falconing?) for moths in the early part of the season.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Australian Hobby/Little Falcon

Hello,
I had a night out at Bruce Stadium to view the Brumbies v Sharks tonight.  Interestingly there was an Aust Hobby soaring for insects (probably moths) after dark for a period of about 20 min in the floodlit area.  It was working at a height above the top of the stands but still in the lit area.
