Sounds like you all had better come on Sunday.
 
The "scunge" is in fact Azolla which is an aquatic fern.
Highly productive under these conditions as the leaves contain blue-green algae which fix atmospheric nitrogen for the ferns use. More on Sunday.
 
Rabbits are doing very well all over Canberra as far as I can see.
In my experience they do much better in dry years when there are fewer mossies to spread the Myxo.
Foxes are still common around Kelly Swamp despite occasional baiting.
