I wasn't there but I'm confident he knows the difference. Besides it was a pair of them, unlikely for escaped birds. He has 50+ years experience as a bird observer and this built on that he is the son of one of Australia's leading birdos (who died several years ago, which is why I put that bit in my note). I have had two separate occurrences of one Rose-ringed Parakeet at my house in Kambah. Both were endorsed by COG's RP. That is irrelevant to another sighting of other birds on other years.
