"Italian" and Tree Sparrows

(1) The Long book does not refer to an Italian Sparrow, but shows the whole of Italy as within the range of the 'Spanish Sparrow'.  The only recorded introductions of the latter being in a few Atlantic islands.
 
(2)  The same book has much on the introduction of the Tree Sparrow in Australia.  (It is of course the common urban sparrow in many Asian cities eg Bangkok.)   Long says it is "now established in south-eastern Australia from Melbourne [its early stronghold] to Sydney".
 
(3)  COG members wanting to renew their acquaintance with the TS sometimes drop by Athol Colemain's music museum in Cowra, where they (the TSs) may be seen jostling with (or rather being out-jostled by) the House Sparrows and where the below pic was taken
