SA ostrich farm

Subject: SA ostrich farm

Early in my somewhat eclectic career I spent a year working at the Adelaide Zoo in the mid-70s. At that stage the zoo used to periodically refresh its ostrich flock with wild youngsters, descendants of the ostrich farm, from a property out of Pt Augusta. I was too junior to be privy to the secret of its location, and I have no idea if the population is still extant.

cheers

Ian
