Hi Sue The eastern side of Port Phillip Bay doesn't get a lot of wader action, I suspect your bird would have been caught further east, most likely somewhere in Western Port Bay. Anderson Inlet is another possibility. Red Knots major wintering sites in Vic are the Queenscliff-Mud Islands area at the southern end of Port Phillip, and Corner Inlet north of Wilsons Prom, neither of which are in 35/145. cheers Steve |
