I saw one of the most amazing animal behaviour stunts yesterday arvo.
I was at Albury airport. There was a sparrow inside. I wondered how it got in.
After feeding on bread crumbs and standing on a chair and singing a song, it
flew at the electric sliding doors, flying quite fast got me worried it would
crash into the doors.
But no, it swerved upwards, slowing, passing the 'laser trigger' at a distance
of about 3-4cm, it landed on the door trigger.
The doors opened. The sparrow then flew down, doing a 180 degree turn and
flying out the doors.

Both me and my boss saw this and both were amazed, jaws dropped in fact.

Although it was not a statistically valid sample the birds behaviour did not
seem to be just random chance.

So if anyone visits albury airport, keep your eyes on the sparrows.
