At Yerrabi Ponds
this morning there were a pair (M & F) musk duck near the NW of the dam wall
and a lone female off the southside playgrounds.
I was wondering if
the presence of musk ducks is helped by an absence or by a low population of
carp. My recollection is that the reduction of the MD population in Lake Burley
Griffin occurred when carp were introduced in the mid
1970's.
