In case anyone is interested: Today I have seen many Rainbow Bee-eaters, including a nesting colony, about 3km south along the Naas Road from the Boboyan road corner (past Tharwa). The sand bank with many nesting hollows is about 100 metres from but easily visible from the road, next to a farm house and shed. Also others at the Gigerline sandwash, probably nesting but we couldn't be sure. One was seen bashing a dragonfly then gave it to another, which flew down to a likely nest on the river bank. Also lots of Rufous Whistlers and several White-winged Trillers in the vicinity. No sign of the Little Corellas that surprised me by their presence there on the "blitz" day.
