On saturday I visited Gungahlin Hill Nature
Park
Lots of expected birds.
Also a pair of leaden flycatchers seen on a nest. The nest
was not as well made as in Davids photo, and blended very well with the branch.
The female was sitting and the male brought the female food.
Also heard western gerygone, pallid cuckoo and saw
Hobby.
Lots of flowers, mainly egg and bacon, pultenea,
indigofera, plus orchids (3 species seen) and odd trigger plants. Many
other species were in flower, but less common.
Cisticola seen and calling vigorously at
Mulanggari grassland.
