Greetings. I sent this last Monday but it was not
delivered.
COG held a very successful field trip in
the Leeton - Yanco area over the long weekend. On the
way home, I visited the Jindalee State Forest turned
up a Painted Honeyeater in the eastern part of the
forest.
Jindalee is a delight to visit now, with the rain and
the spring growth. What a contrast to its desiccated
condition of just a few months ago!
The COG group also had Painted Honeyeaters at Binya
State Forest on Sunday 2 Oct.

Info for people new to the area:
- Jindalee SF is on the Harden - Temora road a short
distance west of Wallendbeen
- Binya SF is on the Temora - Griffith road, just west
of Yenda
