I was bored at work. So went to National Gallery at dusk. An Ironbox was flowering near the entrance, attracting many red wattlebirds and 15 yellow faced honeyeaters. In the sculpture garden saw a pair of choughs mating.. The male?? was sitting on the nest and the female?? was sitting next to it, quivering her wings, the male was also quivering to a lesser extent. The female quivered her wings for at least 2 minutes, then the male hopped off the next, and onto the female and they mated. Then the female got onto the nest.

A flock of white napes came through, I counted 50 but there were more. It was hard to keep track as birds were everywhere. Many seemed to be feeding in pairs, and I saw 1 bird give food (lerp) to another. Only about 5 yellow faces, also 1 male and 1 female golden whistler. Also around were about 5 white plumes, including 1 in immature feathering, and 1 fuscous. I couldn't find the YTH. Saw no spinebills. 1 male scrubwren fed food (either a lerp or spider case) to a female. In 1 flowering brittlegum I counted 8 red wattlebirds. Nearby a red wattlebird fed 2 recently fledged (fluffy tuft) young.  Other usual suspects.
